Born and raised in San Francisco, Oliver "Ali" Nejad is a poker pro and commentator who has made a name for himself in the industry. He discovered his love for the game while attending UC Berkeley, eventually dropping out in 1998 to pursue poker full-time.

Ali quickly established himself as a high-limit cash game player, traveling the world and playing in high-stakes games.

Over the course of his career, Ali has become one of the most recognizable voices in poker. With a keen eye for strategy and an entertaining commentary style, Ali became a mainstay on televised poker shows, working with the likes of ESPN, NBC and Poker Go as a host and commenting on programs such as Poker After Dark, the Heads-Up Championship, Pro-Am Poker Equalizer, and many other shows.

Ali has worked alongside some of the best-known poker TV personalities including Gabe Kaplan, Lon McEachern, Norman Chad, and GGPoker’s own Daniel Negreanu. As a media ambassador for GGPoker, Ali continues to produce some of the best and most engaging poker content on the internet.

Ali has been one of the key anchors on the prestigious Triton High Roller Series analyzing the top echelons of poker strategy and breaking it down for everyone to understand.

Ali is no stranger to the felt, becoming well versed in the game through playing high stakes cash games that he prefer to play over Tournaments
