Daniel was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He first fell in love with poker when he was introduced to different variations of the game during breaks from playing pool. It was in these games that his love of numbers and probability shone through and gave him an edge in those early games.
Daniel is best known for his ability to read people at the table. He earned the nickname ‘Kid Poker’ back in 1998 at the age of 23 due to his youthful look. He won his first WSOP bracelet that same year.
As his fame grew, Daniel appeared as an actor in a music video, some TV shows and in a couple of movies, including ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ and ‘Detention’.
When he takes a break from crushing it at the poker tables, both live and online, he can be found crushing the ball on the golf course.
