Rayan Chamas, better known as ‘Beriuzy’, was born and raised in Lebanon. He grew up playing strategy-based video games like Warcraft, Red Alert 2 and Call of Duty. He immigrated to Canada with his parents at the age of 13.
He was formally introduced to poker at university and college and it quickly became his main hobby and favorite pastime. Beriuzy graduated with a degree in Hotel Management, but he did not enjoy working in this field.
Beruizy continued to play poker in his spare time until the long COVID lockdown. It was at this time that he decided to pursue and share his passion for poker by streaming for fun. He was lucky enough to quickly build a supportive community that cheered his success. As his community grew, Beruizy continued to work hard to keep his streams entertaining.
Beruizy has set himself a long term goal to mix poker with gaming in a fun and supportive environment, in a way that will positively introduce new players to the game. When he started playing poker, Beruizy entered the scene playing at the lowest stakes available. Now he is comfortable with jumping onto almost any table regardless of the stakes.
One of his personal achievements that he looks at as his proudest accomplishment occurred in the $10,300 buy-in Super MILLION$ High Roller. Beruizy managed to make the final table of that event but was eliminated in 5th.
Beruizy attended the 2022 World Series of Poker and while he did not earn a bracelet, he was able to share the victory with 3 friends, all of whom did win one of the coveted WSOP Gold Bracelets. He managed to film the victories and has shared them with the world on his YouTube channel.
